The Urgency of Now

Dear Claw Family,

Recently, The Claw News celebrated it’s fourth anniversary of bringing you cutting edge, insightful reporting.  However since the election, interest in politics has waned, and many subscribers told me they had to walk away, or had flat given up.

I get it.  It’s frustrating.  If I never had to leave home, or watch television, if I never had to see a sitting U.S. Senator be treated like a stray animal, if I didn’t have to watch families be separated by ICE, and American children ripped from their homes, from their environment, from their sense of peace, if I hadn’t seen a homeless veteran and his dog freezing in Chicago, I wouldn’t know any better.

But that which is seen, can not be unseen.  So that leaves me a choice; to ignore injustice or to spend my life fighting for it.  My subscribers know, week in and week out I have kept the faith.  I have tirelessly and loyally made sure, through the aftermath of cancer, through a vessel disease, while trying to keep an aneurysm at bay, and dealing with long Covid, that The Claw News has reached your inbox every Wednesday.

This is me sharing now.  This is me opening up.

You see I do know better in fact..we all know better.

I can’t quit but I need your help.  So I am going to make you an offer.  I will give you 1 free month, up to 12, for every subscriber you bring me.  All they have to do is tell me who referred them-that’s it.  You bring me more than 12?

Well then you will get $1 for each month every subscriber you refer stays subscribed. Whether it is ten, or a million, it doesn’t matter you are going to get a piece of this pie.  This is Todd, speaking.  I will keep my word.  But if The Claw News doesn’t grow, I don’t know how many more anniversaries we will celebrate.

I have to know this is a fight I have people backing me up for.  Years of death threats and bullying against me has taken its toll physically and mentally, but I am still here.  If you can read this, obviously you are here too.  Nearly ten years after the monster came down the escalator, in his putrid red hat, we are still here.

Bruised, weary, crestfallen, yes.  But.  Still.  Here.

I call us a family, for a reason.  Because I mean it.  I have always meant it.  And our family needs to grow, and unite with other families, if we are to take our nation back from those that would cast it into darkness.

You see I could never walk away.  I entered into this world a Democrat, a liberal firebrand, and that is how I shall someday exit.

My life’s die was cast on the day I watched this Federal government turn its back on a hero, my grandpa, not even so much as prescribing painkillers-basic palliative care, as he was obviously in his final days.  The VA just sent him home, and told him to drink his Sustacal.

I will never, NEVER, ever let go of that.  I will never lose that fire, that rage, that sheer will to right wrongs.  So I will never allow myself to ignore other cancer-stricken grandpas and 12 year-old boys who had to suffer through losing the only man they knew as a father.  I will never forget that children in this country, in the year 2025, can only find Lay’s potato chips or candy to fill their bellies as they are at the same time, called animals on what passes for cable news.

I will never give up this fight because quite frankly, I am here for a reason and it sure as I am sitting here, isn’t to sell insurance.

Take this and reach out to your contacts.  Tell them the deal.  This isn’t like points that expire, or a chicken sandwich on sale for a limited time.  This is a permanent arrangement.  My only chance for this family to grow, is for this family to work for its growth.

This is the urgency, of now.  This is the moment in time where we stand, united, determined to hold the line and repel fascism and authoritarianism.  This, right now, Friday June 13th of all days is the day I have chosen to make my stand and stake my future on our collective courage.

Share https://theclawnews.com and ask them to subscribe.  You know the deal. You know the benefits.  You know the potential.  You know me.

Let’s do this.
